"Alone we shall stand, alone we shall fight. Together, we shall overcome."
Scouts, the ones who dare the wilderness outside of the walls. Mostly airborne troops and used extensively to execute missions outside the walls of the city, they are less equipped in terms of gear and weapons then the TSF Units but in trade, get access to a wider variety of vehicles that they can use or get accompanied by during missions. Due to their missions being done outside of the city, missions are usually more dangerous as the area of operations change frequently due to rain, erosion, and Xylopod/human activity. Because of this, casualties are unavoidable and are always higher then TSF casualties, making this job very hazardous and units are usually expected to not come back after accomplishing a mission. The Scouts have 265,000 active military service members as of 2630, both counting men and women however does not count android personnel and have since then deployed troops to the northern frontier.

8 minutes of death
The average survival time for Scout NCUs was 8 minutes, and surviving the "8 minutes of death" has become a rite of passage among Scout personnel. The "8 minutes of death" is just a simple superstition; new Scout NCUs have died due to letting their guard down after 8 minutes into battle, and veteran Scouts are not exempt from this rule. The 8 minutes of death is mostly known to the airborne personnel of the scouts as they often make contact with the enemy before the ground divisions.

Scout tactics share a similar aircraft-derived unit organization pattern in most armed forces however retain some tactics not commonly found in aerial formations, a mixture of both army and air force.

UNITS:
Like the TSF and other militaries, the Scouts use a similar form of naming and identification terms. Unlike the TSF, Scouts differentiate by having a naming scheme involving Division name, team number, and unit number. Divisions are often named by animal names and do not follow any specific pattern. The only Scout units that do not follow this identification format are the Scout STF
Examples being "Eagle-5-2", "Bulldog-1-4", or "Guppy-8-5"

EAGLE DIVISION
General Max Cunningham A division which has a total head count of 55,000 active members, it specializes in airborne tactics. This division focuses on providing airborne transportation, support, and other means. Usually sent in to scout ahead of the group, these guys receive contact first from enemies and are meant to clear out the area for the main attack force to plow through. On the contrary, these guys also serve as support by bringing in covering fire, air coverage, fast reinforcements, and evac. |
BEAR DIVISION
General Amelie Stone The largest division in the Scouts, this division consists of a estimated total of 180,000 men and women actively serving. The division focuses on being the main ground force of the Scouts. These guys are the heavy hitters that come in second as a wall of armor and fire. They specialize in digging in and maximizing fire power and armor. They serve as the back bone of the Scouts as without them, the scouts would just be a gun running military unit. |
