OOC - Stands for "Out of Character" and refers to something a member is saying, not the character.
IC - Stands for "In Character" and usually refers to something in the roleplay, mostly in the view of a member's character(s) and typically, though not always, in the third or first person(s).
Canon Character - Refers to characters that exist in a universe already, often times an official one. (Examples: Soap from the COD series or Jaws from the Jaws.)
RPer - A shortened form of saying "roleplayer" and refers to those who take part in roleplaying. Synomous with the term RP.(Examples: "I'm an rper! I rp.)
Original Character - Refers to a completely original character created by roleplayers, at times is known as "Non-canon character"
Side Character - Refers to a character who's only there as a filler character, or a character used to enhance a rper's roleplaying story/experience.

GM - Stands for "Game master" and is the one who often leads the story or describes the environment/setting for a character in the roleplay. Alternatively, it can also stand for "god-modding" which in a sense, is basically the same thing as a game master, however by god-modding, a character is in control of everything. Mary Sue(s) - Refers to characters who are overly perfect, that some could say larger than life characters. They are often referred to (but not limited to) overpowered, generic movie character stereotypes, and characters deemed too "perfect".
Example: They graduated at the top of their high school with all grades over 100, and were top of their class in biochemistry and calculus, while knowing how to fix cars as well as surviving in the wilderness with only clothing essentials while also being well versed in French, German, English, Cantonese, and able to hack/program their way into internet databases.
(Note: Can also be referred to as a Marty Stu, Larry Stu,, Gary Stu, or Jerry Stu, but the name Mary Sue is more commonly used.)
